If checking your bank balance makes your stomach drop, this book is for you. The Money Reset for Women is a thirty-day plan with one clear task a day, most taking ten to thirty minutes. No jargon, no shame, no complicated maths.
In week one you will see your money clearly: every account, your real income, where your spending actually goes, forgotten subscriptions, debts and the irregular costs that ambush most budgets. In week two you will choose a budgeting style that suits you and write a realistic spending plan, with a full worked example and a word-for-word script for lowering your bills. Week three builds your safety net: an emergency fund, automatic savings, a debt payoff strategy, money in your own name and basic protection. Week four makes it last, with money dates, scripts for talking about money with a partner or saying no to friends, retirement basics and three clear goals.
You also get guidance for irregular income, career breaks, separation and supporting family. Works in any currency and any country.

Leseprobe
Money stress is quiet and heavy. It is the knot in your stomach when you check your balance, the envelope you leave unopened, the vague feeling that everyone else has it figured out. Many women carry that feeling for years, whatever their income. Day 6: List your irregular costs These are the costs that wreck budgets because they do not come every month: car servicing and insurance, annual subscriptions, birthdays and holidays, school trips and uniforms, dental and eye care, home repairs, licence and registration fees, festivals and religious celebrations. Look back over the last year and list them with rough amounts. Add them up and divide by twelve. That number is what you need to set aside every month to never be ambushed again. Day 12: Set up your irregular-cost fund Open a separate savings account or pot for irregular costs, and set up a monthly transfer of the amount from Day 6. Some people split it into named pots: "Car", "Gifts", "Holidays", "Home". When the car needs new tyres or a birthday comes round, the money is already waiting.
