Leseprobe
Sunday is a strange day. It is supposed to be the restful one, yet for many of us it fills up with laundry, errands, half-finished scrolling and a quiet, growing dread about Monday. By evening you can feel as if the weekend happened to someone else. This book offers a different approach. Not a complicated routine, not a shopping list, not a promise that one bubble bath will fix a hard life. Just one small, deliberate act of care each week, for a whole year. A ritual is a habit you do on purpose and with attention. Making tea is a habit. Making tea, sitting by the window and drinking it before it goes cold, phone in another room, is a ritual. 38. The Monday Dread Reset If Sunday evening brings a sinking feeling, try this twenty-minute sequence. First, write exactly what you are dreading, in one sentence. Second, make your very first Monday task tiny and specific: "Open the report and write the heading", not "Finish report". Third, prepare your outfit, bag and lunch. Fourth, write one nice thing you will do on Monday after work. Then close the notebook and do something pleasant. Dread usually shrinks once it has a plan.
